No Bell Ringer today!
We started off the day with a cookie observation lab where each student received a chips ahoy and an oreo and they made observations about each cookie and then compared and contrasted the two cookies.  Next we practiced metric conversions  and completed the metric mania worksheet and last of all we used microscopes to make observations.

Bell Ringer: Draw a scientist or someone who uses science.

We discussed how science is a process that can be used by everyone and not just scientists. Then we did a scavenger hunt outside where students made observations. Next, we looked at some optical illusions and discussed how important it is to take measurements and not rely on our senses. Last of all we took a metrics prequiz and graded it in class.

August 25/26

Today we put our hanging files together and filled out get to know you papers. We also completed an activity called William the Worm.

Make-up: Get a green hanging folder from me and fill out a get to know you paper.

August 23/24

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

Today we played several get to know you games: including the Skittles Game and People Bingo. Next we went over my disclosure document. Make sure to get a disclosure signature paper (10 points) from me when you come to class next.

Make-up work: Disclosure signature paper signed by you and a parent or guardian, also make sure you bring a notebook and folder to class next week!
